The Sons of God and the Nephilim<\/em><\/a> is essentially my 135 page Th.M. thesis with a couple of additional features. On sale for only $4.99<\/a>, this book explores one of the greatest mysteries in Scripture: who were the “sons of God” and the “Nephilim” (giants) mentioned in Genesis 6? This book looks at each of the major views that Christians have held on the subject and then examines each of them to see if they can stand up to scrutiny.<\/p>\n

This study shows that one view makes much more sense than any of the others, and even though there are many objections to it, this book demonstrates that every objection can be adequately addressed. Furthermore, some of the latest archaeological and textual research is utilized to show that the Bible really does identify these beings. Caution: you may never read the Old Testament the same way again.<\/p>\n

Are the early chapters of Genesis literal history or are they some form of poetic or theological writing?<\/p><\/div>\n

A few years ago I wrote a lengthy (nearly 90 pages) research paper on the proper interpretation of Genesis 1 for my M.Div. This paper has now been reformatted and made available as a booklet.\u00a0God Means What He Says: A Biblical Critique of the Framework Hypothesis<\/em><\/a> is now available on Kindle for only $2.99.<\/p>\n

People who promote the Framework Hypothesis (sometimes called the Literary Framework) claim that the early chapters of Genesis were not meant to be taken literally. Essentially, they reclassify the genre as poetry (or semi-poetic) so that a person can try to add billions of years into Scripture.<\/p>\n

This book examines the three major arguments used by Framework adherents and shows why they do not stand up to the scrutiny of Scripture. Also included is a brief overview of the various attempts to harmonize Genesis 1 with the secular view of the age of the earth, including the gap theory, day-age theory, and many more. Special attention is given to critiquing progressive creationism. God Means What He Says<\/em><\/a> is an excellent complement to my first book, Old-Earth Creationism on Trial<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
